For some, it starts with a childhood memory: summers on Cape Cod, family bike rides through the Villages, splashing in the pools, or watching the sunset stretch across Cape Cod Bay.
For this bride, Ocean Edge was not just a venue—it was part of her family’s story.
When she returned years later with her fiancé—this time as a bride—she discovered that the place she loved as a child had transformed into the perfect setting for the most meaningful weekend of her life. From seamless planning and exceptional service to breathtaking venues and heartfelt hospitality, her wedding weekend at Ocean Edge became everything she had dreamed of…and more.

Maddie + Tim's Ocean Edge Wedding Story
In Maddie’s own words…
Ocean Edge Resort has always held a deeply special place in our hearts. I grew up coming here with my family — all five of us packed into the one-bedroom villas on the golf-course side. Those trips were always a mix of chaos and joy: hours at the Arbor Village pool, scooter rides along the golf-course path, and that unmistakable feeling that Ocean Edge was our happy place.
But experiencing Ocean Edge as a bride was something entirely different. It exceeded every expectation I had — truly 5-star treatment from the moment we began touring the property to the minute our wedding weekend came to an end.
Pre-Booking Experience
From the very first tour, the Ocean Edge team set the tone for what would become the most seamless planning experience. Our coordinator walked us through every part of the venue — the mansion, the ballrooms, cocktail locations, restaurants, bars, beach bar, and even the bonfire spaces. She made sure my now-husband, who had never experienced Ocean Edge before, could fully envision what our weekend would look like.
That tour is what made him fall in love with the venue the same way I always had. My sister was married at Ocean Edge years ago, so I already knew the magic was real — but seeing the venue through the lens of my own wedding unlocked an entirely new vision. Everything just clicked.
Reservations & Guest Experience
Once we officially chose Ocean Edge, we worked closely with the reservations team to organize our hotel block. They were phenomenal. They helped us secure a mix of villa-side and mansion-side rooms for 2- or 3-night stays, kept us updated on room counts, and made sure all guests were accommodated at very reasonable group rates — especially for Labor Day weekend.
Lauren, in particular, made the entire process effortless. Our guests received their welcome bags without a single hiccup — a detail that’s often overlooked at wedding resorts but was executed perfectly.
And then there was our Mansion Suite. It was beyond anything we expected — champagne, chocolates, a beautiful room, and the luxury of being steps away from the beach, the pool, and every venue we needed throughout the weekend. It set the tone for an unforgettable stay.
Menu Tasting
Our tasting was one of the highlights of planning. We had a private session where we tried our selection of passed appetizers and entrées. Everything was exceptional — so much so that we ended up choosing almost all of the appetizers we sampled.
On the wedding day, our guests could not stop talking about the mini lobster rolls and lamb chops. The surf-and-turf entrée received incredible feedback as well.
We also sampled wedding cakes, and even though we had a formal tasting scheduled with Montilio’s, we ended up choosing the lemon blueberry cake we tried at Ocean Edge — it was that memorable.
Set-Up & Coordination
This is where Ocean Edge truly shines: Harmony.
Harmony was unbelievable from the very first meeting. A few days before the wedding, we dropped off all our décor, accessories, and personal items. She catalogued everything, kept it safe, and made us feel completely at ease.
Wedding Day
Harmony was the anchor of our entire day. She arrived early, made sure our bridal suite was stocked and beautiful, and ensured everything was organized before we even walked in. The suite itself was stunning — bright natural light, ocean views, a gorgeous mirror, and plenty of space for getting ready.
When weather forced us to pivot from mansion photos to beach photos, Harmony had a shuttle arranged immediately. The transition was seamless, and taking photos on the beach ended up being perfect. Resort guests and staff even cheered us on — such a sweet and unexpected moment.
The ceremony setup was exactly what I’d pictured. The placement of flowers, the shade for the string quartet, even the bike holding our programs — all perfectly executed. And in the best surprise of the day, Harmony made a last-minute addition I had wished for: a boat filled with High Noons. I had mentioned it once, unsure it would work out, and she delivered.
Cocktail hour flowed effortlessly. Staff made sure everyone had food and drinks, and guests kept raving about how attentive and kind the servers were.
Then came the ballroom.
It was breathtaking.
Every detail — every placement, every flower, every candle — exactly how I imagined it. Truly the most beautiful version of the ballroom I’ve ever seen. Harmony’s care and attention were obvious in every inch of that room.
After the reception, guests gathered at Bayzo’s Pub for cocktails — another touch everyone loved. Meanwhile, Harmony and her team packed up our items with complete care. My family coordinated with her behind the scenes, and I didn’t worry about a single thing. That level of trust is priceless for a bride.
Beach Bonfire
The night after the wedding, we hosted a beach bonfire to close out the weekend. It was Labor Day weekend, and the sunset painted the sky in every color you hope for in Brewster. The bonfires were beautiful, the attendants fantastic, and the s’mores and drink service made it feel like the perfect final chapter.
And, once again, Harmony stopped by just to make sure we were happy. Her presence truly made our entire experience.
Final Thoughts
Ocean Edge didn’t just host our wedding — they brought our vision to life in ways we didn’t even know were possible. Every touchpoint, every team member, every detail was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine warmth.
For us, Ocean Edge isn’t just a venue.
It’s a part of our family history.
And now, it’s the place where we experienced the best weekend of our lives. We can't wait for our anniversary there, as well.
